Test Fire / Sight In

starts $7 plus ammunition, targets, etc.

For safety reasons, all jobs that involve action work must be checked for headspace and test fired before the gun is returned to the client.

Guns are test fired for function, not accuracy. No targets are used during test firing. Only one shot will be fired (per barrel/chamber and/or action type (double-action/single-action)) unless more are needed to replicate a specific malfunction.

When sighting in a gun, targets are used. The cost for sighting in a gun is charged in $7 increments base on the time it takes to complete the task. Most guns cost $28 plus ammunition, target, etc. More than one shot is fired during the sighting in process.

The cost of ammunition varies based on caliber/gauge. It is $0.50 per cartridge for .22 LR and $1 per cartridge/shell for most other ammunition. Larger and/or rare caliber/gauges can cost more. Clients can avoid the ammunition charge by providing quality factory ammunition of their own.

Unless specified, prices are for labor and consumables only and do not include parts. Prices are guidelines and subject to change based on the specific requirements of a job.

Only the combination of a specific shooter, a specific ammunition, and a gun can be sighted in. Since the client is not the shooter during the ‘sighting in’ process, there is no guarantee that the gun will shoot the same way for the client.¬†
