That is how our relationship with each client begins. We believe that our shop will only be successful if it offers its clients quality craftsmanship in a timely manner for a fair price all backed by honest dealing and excellent customer service.

Classic American Gunsmith is a traditional gunsmith shop. We make, modify, and repair guns. Sure, we sell a few things as well. However, our core business is and always will be gun repair, gun modification, and the creation of custom firearms.

Before we get to why you stopped by, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Patrick Heraghty, and I am a gunsmith. I operate Classic American Gunsmith in Albemarle County, Virginia. I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School ⇒’s Master Gunsmithing Program. I am a GLOCK Certified Armorer (Advanced), a Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 Pistols & M&P Shield 2.0 Pistols Factory Trained Armorer, an IWI TAVOR SAR & X95 Factory Certified Armorer ⇒, and I hold certificates in Advanced 1911 Customization, AR-15/M16 Armorer/Customization, and the application of Alternative Finishes. Also, I am the only Cerakote Factory Certified Applicator ⇒ in Albemarle County.

I am a member of the American Gunsmithing Association, an associate member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild ⇒, a
life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) ⇒, a life member of the GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) ⇒, a voting member of the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club (RRPC) ⇒, and a member of the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) ⇒. I am also an NRA  Certified Pistol Instructor. Additionally, the shop is a member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF)⇒.
